For the passengers and crews who flew it, The VC-10 was beloved. BOAC absolutely hated it due to its weight and heavy fuel consumption. It was outclassed on the North Atlantic, but performed very well on the colonial routes to Africa. They flew with BA until the mid-1970s. This beautiful Westay cutaway dates to the 1960s.
